Mount de Sales - 35th Reunion

I was awarded with the Alumni Career Achievement Award for 2012 from Mount de Sales - quick a surprise and quite an honor from my high school alma mater.

The Corkerys showed us around some interesting sites in Macon, including the Children's Museum and Cox theatre where Scott works.

During the 70s, many members of the Allman Brothers Band lived in this house and now it's The Big House Allman Brothers Band Museum.

The Corkerys also took us to see some sights at Rose Hill Cemetary which are related to the Allman Brothers Band. Duane Allman's grave is here, as is Elizabeth Reed's whose name is part of the title of one of their hit songs (Google it because the story is pretty interesting). The pictures taken of the back side of the Bond grave site are reminiscent of Allman Brothers Band pictures which appear on the back cover of their first album.

Our 35th reunion from Mount de Sales was at the McBreartys in Macon. All together we had almost half of the graduating class of '77 in attendance!
